The Philippines has 7,107 islands and a total land area of 300,000 sq.km and a coastline of 34,000 km, making it as the longest coastline in the world. The Philippines is divided into regions and each has its own Regional Center. In each Region, there are cities that are already developed in terms of industry and technology.
There are 16 cities that comprises the NCR (National Capital Region). It is composed of the following cities: Caloocan City, Las Piñas City, Makati City, Malabon City, Mandaluyong City, Manila City, Marikina City, Muntinlupa City, Navotas City, Parañaque City, Pasay City, Pasig City, Quezon City, San Juan City, Taguig City and Valenzuela City.
This is the third most populated region in the Philippines which composed of the following cities. They are Balanga City, Malolos City, Meycauayan City, San Jose del Monte City, Cabanatuan City, Gapan City, Muñoz City, Palayan City, Angeles City, Mabalacat City, San Fernando City, Tarlac City, Olongapo City and San Jose City
Region 4A has 17 cities which indicate that this region has the highest number of cities in the Philippines. These are Batangas City, Lipa City, Tanauan City, Bacoor City, Cavite City, Dasmariñas City, Imus City, Tagaytay City, Trece Martires City, Biñan City, Cabuyao City, San Pablo City, Santa Rosa City, Lucena City, Tayabas City, Antipolo City and Calamba City
